Tranquility Hall
This 153 suite, wounded, ill and injured (WII) ADA-compliant duplex, provides WII with a two-bedroom suite that includes a kitchenette, washer and dryer and a lounge area, which allows outpatients a place to stay with a non-medical attendant. Featured within Tranquility Hall is Austin’s Playroom, a drop-in child activity center that provides certified childcare for not only those staying in the barracks, but to personnel in need of temporary child care while at medical appointments. Food service is offered at Tranquility Hall in the Warrior Café, daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Mercy Hall
Mercy Hall provides 98 permanent party single bedrooms, a laundry room, a lounge area and a satellite Liberty Zone. Mercy Hall has a tranquil patio area where residents can take in fresh air or chat with others. It is also located very close to the medical center and the brand new Navy Exchange (NEX) shopping facility.
Sanctuary Hall
Sanctuary Hall is a transient WII lodge with an adjacent 470-space parking structure. The facility opened in August 2014 to provide unaccompanied WII accommodation during their transition back to the community. Single rooms are ADA compliant and there is a community kitchen and laundry room on every floor.
Comfort and Solace Hall
Built in 1986 and 1993 respectively, Comfort and Solace Halls offer unaccompanied enlisted quarters for E-4 and below with underground parking for 60 vehicles.
Family Members
Fisher Houses
The five Fisher Houses at NSAB – the most on one base within the DOD system – provide additional lodging to WII and their family members. Sixty-eight handicapped suites, 20 of which are private, offer a place to stay at no cost while loved ones are receiving treatment. Patients who are medically cleared may also stay at the Fisher Houses. Each includes a common area, communal dining, family rooms and play rooms for children.
Navy Lodge
Operating under the Navy Exchange Service Command, the Navy Lodge Bethesda offers 106 guest rooms. Authorized patrons include all branches of military service and their families, Department of Defense civilians, Reservists/National Guard, International Military and Retirees. Advance reservations are accepted for those traveling on Temporary Duty, Medical, Permanent Change of Station or Invitational Travel Orders.     Â
