On June 21, the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School welcomed back TESTER 11, which underwent an extensive 450-hour Periodic Inspection (PE) at NASA Ellington Field, Texas.

TESTER 11 flew to Ellington Field Sept. 18, 2018. During its time, TESTER 11 received an aircraft repaint as well as an aircraft weight. The total acquisition project cost was $228,000 encompassing over 4,500 maintenance worker hours. The T-38 Talon is an Air Force trainer aircraft the Test Pilot School uses to demonstrate flight test techniques to students within the fixed wing syllabus.
