On June 21, the U.S. Navy Test Pilot School (USNTPS) welcomed back TESTER 11, which underwent an extensive 450-hour Periodic Inspection (PE) at NASA Ellington Field.

TESTER 11 flew to Ellington Field, Texas on Sept. 18, 2018. During its time, the aircraft received a repaint as well as an aircraft weight. The total acquisition project cost was $228,000 encompassing over 4,500 maintenance worker hours. The T-38 Talon is an Air Force trainer aircraft the USNTPS uses to demonstrate flight test techniques to students within the fixed wing syllabus.
