Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) in the National Capital Region — including Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River — continue to take all necessary precautions to protect forces and their families and safeguard military healthcare’s mission capability during the current global outbreak of COVID-19.
Out of an abundance of caution, and to help maintain the low threat level determined by the CDC for the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area, the MTFs in the National Capital Region, as of March 12, will institute additional safety measures. These measure include establishing separate entry points for staff and patients and additional screening areas outside of clinical spaces to screen patients seeking care for COVID-19.
These measures will promote efficiency of healthcare services, best allocate resources and maximize public health and safety. Thank you for your patience and together we will pull through this challenging time.
