The U.S. Naval Test Pilot School welcomed back TESTER 02 on May 16, after the aircraft underwent an extensive modifications and rework phase. TESTER 02 flew from NAS Patuxent River to the rework facility June 2016 and although the original return date was December 2017, extensive repair to the aft fuel cell floor delayed its return. The Boeing team worked diligently for nearly three years to make the necessary repairs to the aircraft structure and return it to flight status. Thanks to their hard work, TESTER 02 is back at the USNTPS.
