Chaplain's Office supports life-saving mission

Personnel from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center prepare for a blood drive held at the NAS Patuxent River Religious Programs Center Aug. 9 to benefit the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP). Twenty-seven pints of blood were collected, which has the potential of reaching 84 patients and saving $14,000 for ASBP. Afterward, in a letter from Donna Onwona, recruiter with ASBP/National Capital Region, she thanked the Chaplain’s Office “for sponsoring the blood drive and helping to ensure our warfighters are mission ready. Your enthusiasm and support of this life-saving mission is greatly appreciated and we look forward to working with you again.”
