Mids Share Holiday Spirit With Annapolis Area Children

USNA photo by Ken Mierzejewski.
Members of the Academy’s 6th Company organized the 17th annual Giving Tree program Dec. 4 in the rotunda of Bancroft Hall.

The Giving Tree program, coordinated with the Salvation Army, aims at providing gifts to underprivileged children in the Annapolis area during the holidays.

The Salvation Army provided 6th Company with 500 angels that gave descriptions of the children and their Christmas wishes. Members of 6th Company then decorated the Giving Tree in the rotunda hanging the angels for the Brigade and Naval Academy friends to choose from.

All gifts need to be placed under the rotunda tree unwrapped with the angel affixed to the gift no later than Dec. 12. Donations of wrapping paper are also greatly appreciated. Contact Midn. 2⁄C Fullington at m092298@usna.edu for more information.
