Christmas Play and Tree Lighting
Tomorrow evening the Center Stage Theater will entertain the whole family with a live performance of Scrooge, followed by the NAS Pax River Tree Lighting and a visit from Santa. The Tree Lighting will be free for all. Tickets for the play will be $5 for adults, $2 for children 5-11 and free for children under 5. All proceeds will benefit Navy Marine Corps Relief Society. The play will begin at 6 p.m. with the Tree Lighting immediately following (approx 7:15 p.m.). For more information, call 301-342-1694.

Arts and Crafts Festival
The 32nd Annual Arts and Crafts Festival is Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Pax River Drill Hall. Each year over 170 artists and artisans come to sell their wares, everything from paintings, silk flowers, wood crafts, Christmas ornaments, handmade blankets, quilts and more! The general public is welcome! Guests who do not have access to the base must park at the Frank Knox building (Great Mills Road and Route 235) Shuttle service will be provided to and from the Drill Hall. Admission is free. Christmas Sale at the Cedar Point Golf Course Pro Shop

Family Winter Wonderland Dance
All Pax River families are invited to the Rassieur Youth Center on Dec. 11, 6:30-9 p.m. for a special night of dinner and dancing. The Youth Center will be decked out in holiday style. Piano students will provide dinner music, and then the DJ will change the tone allowing everyone to boogie down. Dress is night out attire. Friday Family Fun and Float Night
The indoor pool will have a Family Fun and Float Night Dec. 11, 6-7:30 p.m. The event is free. Bring the whole family for a splashing good time! For more info: 301-757-1293 or 301-342-5960. All Drill Hall eligible patrons are welcome.

IA Family Holiday Event
IAs and their families are invited to join us Dec. 12, 9 a.m. at Pax Landing Restaurant on for a Breakfast with Santa. There will be crafts and music and an opportunity to have a picture taken with Santa. Fun for all ages. Registration Deadline is Dec. 5. Golf Awards Presentation, Party
On Dec. 17, from 6-8 p.m., the Cedar Point Golf Course invites all award recipients, Cedar Point golfers and their guests to attend their annual holiday party. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. Call 301-342-3597 for information.

Santa’s Calling
Send a special message to a child this Christmas with a call from Santa. Operators are standing by at the North Pole phone center to put your child’s name on Santa’s telephone list! Registration forms are available at all MWR facilities. Completed forms should be turned in to any of these locations: Rassieur Youth Center, Bowling Center, Theater, Information, Tickets and Tours Office, MWR Admin Office (Bldg. 467), CDC, and the CDC Annex. Deadline to turn in forms is Tuesday, Dec. 15 at noon. Calls will be made on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. (Volunteers Accepted) This program is free to all Pax River personnel.

Japanese Anime Class
Customized Creations is presenting an Anime Drawing Class. Explore how to draw anime characters and backgrounds. Create and finish drawing by the end of the class. Classes will be held on Jan. 5 and 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The class will cost $40 (includes all supplies). Call 301-342-3569 to register.

Preschool Movement Dance Classat the Energy Zone
Preschool Movement is a fun filled high energy class for ages 3-4. The 45 minute class includes movement in tap, ballet and tumbling. It is a structured class and keeps the child’s interest by the variety of activities involved. Classes are taught by Jennifer Shockley. Preschool Movement will be on Tuesday’s, 10 a.m., beginning on Jan. 12. Register at the Drill Hall Fitness Office by Jan. 11. Classes will be $40⁄child and will run for 8 weeks.

2010 Winter IntramuralSports Registration
Registration is beginning for 2010 Winter Intramural sports. There will be organizational meetings at the Drill Hall Bowling Center for each sport. Intramural programs are open to active duty, retired and reserve military and members of the Fitness and Sports Program, For more information contact the Sports and Fitness Office at 301-757-1194. The intramural basketball organizational meeting is Jan. 11, 1 p.m.; the intramural volleyball organizational meeting is Jan. 12, 1 p.m.; and the intramural racquetball organizational meeting is Jan. 13, 1 p.m.
