The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) education outreach office is coordinating employee support from the base to serve as judges for in-school science fairs and the Navy’s Save the Bay robotics competition.
Students are gearing up for the 50th anniversary of the St. Mary’s County Science Fair, with in-school competitions starting in December.
Judges are needed for the following schools who have requested support: Little Flower School, Dec. 8, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Spring Ridge Middle School, Dec. 8, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.; Chopticon High School, Dec.16, 3-6 p.m.; and Leonardtown High School, Jan. 4, 8 a.m.- noon.
The Navy and National Defense Education Program funded in-school and afterschool robotics program competition is Dec. 12 at Leonardtown High School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Judges are needed for the team work, technical interview and research project competitions.
