Help Your Child Succeed in School

Oct. 2 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. at the Child Development Center. There are things every parent can do, no matter what your job or educational background may be. You’ll learn tips and suggestions on how to form good relationships with teachers, staff, and administrators at your child’s school. You’ll find tips on how to encourage hard work and positive motivation, and what to do about homework struggles.

Communication 101

Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at FFSC. We’ve all heard the reasons for miscommunication between the sexes: ‘‘Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” or, ‘‘men lecture, women listen”. The FFSC provides a group experience for couples to develop communication skills that will lead to more positive conflict resolution.
