Sotterley Volunteers Needed
The planning seeds have been laid and are now taking root for Sotterley Plantation’s Garden Fair, scheduled for April 25-26, 2009 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. This event will feature guest speakers, vendors, demonstrations, children’s activities and more. This one-of-a-kind event will certainly be a hit with the avid gardeners (and even the occasional gardeners) in Southern Maryland.
With the tremendous amount of pre-event cultivation work to be done, we need volunteers! Much of the work can be done from home, and some of the jobs will include such tasking as making advance contacts via phone⁄e-mail and chairing or aiding such sub-committees as advertising, vendors, speakers, demos, children’s activities, entertainment, etc. Even those whose thumbs are not exactly green can help!
For more info, contact Karen Tippett at 301-373-2280 or events@sotterley.org.
