Dahlgren Plans School Supply Drive

NSF Dahlgren will hold a school supply drive at the Station Theater parking lot on Friday, Aug. 22 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Please come by and drop off your school supplies so our local children in need can start their school year off in style! Needed items include blue, black or red pens, Post-it notes, soft #2 lead pencils, calculators, pencil sharpeners, staples⁄staplers, erasers, backpacks, dry erase markers, hand sanitizer, crayons, band aids, color pencils, composition books, washable magic markers, glue, glue sticks, math⁄geometry kits, scissors, graph paper, rulers, pencil box, highlighters, construction paper, index cards, ziploc bags, copier paper (white and colored), headphones, pocket folders, spiral notebooks, whiteboard eraser, loose leaf notebook paper, Clorox wipes, book covers, antibacterial soap, 3-ring binders, paper towels, and tissues.

Navy Federal to Conduct Home Buying Seminar

Navy Federal Credit Union, in conjunction with the Fleet and Family Support Center, will be conducting a home buying seminar in Dahlgren on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. - noon at the Fleet and Family Support Center, Bldg 214. Dahlgren Plans Individual AugmenteeHomecoming

An Individual Augmentee (IA) Homecoming Celebration will be held at Naval Support Facility Dahlgren on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the parade field. All base employees and residents are invited to participate. Attendees are invited to line Welsh Rd. between JD’s Conference Center and the parade field between 2:45-3:00 p.m. to cheer and congratulate returning service members and their families as they are paraded from JD’s to the parade field. All are also invited to participate in the celebration at the parade field pavilion that will follow the parade, starting at 3 p.m. The event, cosponsored by Lincoln Military Housing and Naval Support Activity South Potomac, will be open to the public. Access for individuals without DoD identification will be via shuttle busses that will run between a pickup point at the Main Gate Office Building, 17109 Dahlgren Rd., and the parade field. Busses will begin shuttling visitors to the base at 2:15 p.m. and will return visitors to the shuttle parking area starting at 4 p.m. All visitors will be required to provide photo ID. Food Vendors Needed for Dahlgren 90th Birthday Celebration

Food vendors are needed for Dahlgren’s 90th Birthday Celebration! The event will be held on the Parade Field on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 1 - 5 p.m. Non-profit organizations that would like to sell food can register for a $50 fee and will be provided a trailer with an electrical connection. Booths are first come, first served. All food vendors must be insured and must attend food service training prior to selling food at the event. Crafters are needed for the Dahlgren 90th Birthday Celebration! A craft fair will be held on the Parade Field as part of the celebration.
