The Transition Assistance Management Service (TEAMS) at Walter Reed Army Medical Center offers members in the WRAMC community information regarding federal, corporate and training opportunities nation-wide. TEAMS services include career coaching and counseling, employment assistance, job training, resume and interview preparation, referral resources, small business resources and more. UPL training
Unit Prevention Leader training is July 20-24 in the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) at Forest Glen in Bldg. 503 training room. UPLs receive 40 hours of instruction to become commanders’ subject matter experts in the Army Substance Abuse Program. A background check is required, and UPLs must be E-5 or above. Integrated chiefs named
The deputy commanders of integration from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center have announced the appointment of the following individuals as integrated service chiefs of the newly-integrated Department of Psychiatry: Integrated Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Service Chief, Lt. Col. Geoffrey G. Grammer; Integrated Behavioral Health Consultation Service Chief, Dr. Harold J. Wain; Integrated Tele-Behavioral Health Service Chief, Dr. Michael Lynch; Integrated Child & Family Services Chief, Lt. Col. Brett J. Schneider; and Integrated Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health Service Chief, Lt. Col. Jeffrey S. Jarvis.
Also, the following individuals were announced as integrated service chiefs of the newly-integrated Department of Radiology: Integrated Nuclear Medicine Service Chief, Lt. Col. Sidney Hinds; Integrated 3-D Medical Applications Service Chief, Navy Capt. Gerald T. Grant; Integrated Tele-Behavioral Health Service Chief, Dr. Michael Lynch; Integrated Radiation Oncology Service Chief, Cmdr. Rex A. Kiteley; Integrated Radiologic Procedures Service Chief, Lt. Col. Both WRAMC and NNMC will continue to provide medical services from both locations, but will begin to functionally operate as a single organization, officials say.
