Mother's Day Buffetat Cedar Point Club
Join the Mother's Day Buffet at the Cedar Point Club Sunday. Reservations can be made for 11:30 a.m., 12, 2 and 2:30 p.m. Choose from peppered steak and onions, crab cakes, fried chicken breast, honey orange glazed ham, sweet green beans with julienne of carrots, creamy cheddar potatoes, almond wild rice blend, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausage gravy with biscuits, Southern Maryland stuffed ham, smoked salmon display, assorted fruits, salads, breads, muffins, danish, cheeses and a cavalcade of desserts. Mother’s Day Buffetat Pax Landing
Join the Patuxent Landing restaurant Sunday from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for Mother’s Day brunch. The menu will be: eggs, bacon, turkey sausage patties, pork sausage links, omelet station with choice of toppings, french toast, belgium waffles with fruit toppings, assorted pastries, assorted dinner rolls and breads, fresh seasonal fruits, cheese and cracker bar, roast beef with au jus, Atlantic salmon, baked potato bar, whipped potatoes and gravy, fresh seasonal vegetables, two soups and more. NRC Solomons facilities
The Navy Recreation Center Solomons recreational facilities are now open on weekends. Enjoy the Adventure Zone on Fridays from 4 - 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Play a game of miniature golf or rent a bike for a ride around NRC. Go fishing and crabbing at the Sunset Pier on Saturdays and Sundays 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Walk Sunset Beach or go for a dip on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. (no boat rentals). Learn to Swim this Summer
Register now at the ITT office for summer swim lessons at the outdoor pool and drill hall indoor pool. Session one is from June 2-12, with time slots from 8 - 11:30 a.m. and 4 - 7:45 p.m. with various levels offered in each time slot. Session two is from June 16-26, with time slots from 8 - 11:30 a.m. and 5 - 5:45 p.m. with various levels offered in each time slot. Session three is from July 7-17, with time slots from 8 - 11:30 a.m. and 5 - 5:45 p.m. with various levels offered in each time slot. Session four is from July 21-31, with time from 8 - 11:30 a.m. with various levels offered in each time slot. Session five is from Aug. 4-14, with time slots from 9 - 11:30 a.m. and 5 - 6:30 p.m. with various levels offered in each time slot. The price is $40 per person. Register at the ITT office.
Yoga basics
Enjoy yoga basics with Ann Hunt Mondays (May 12, 19, June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30) from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. in studio A of the Energy Zone. The price is $42 for a six-week session and $21 for E1-E6 Liberty. (One-hour yoga passes accepted for partial attendance.) Register at the ITT office by Monday, May 12. No class Monday, May 26.
27th annual triathlon
Saturday, June 7, athletes can compete in a 0.5-mile swim, 13.1-mile bike race, and 3.1-mile run. The competition begins at the Pax River Outdoor Pool at 9 a.m. (Rain date: June 14) There is no entry fee for active duty, reservist, retired military or DoD civilians (and their family members). Others pay $10. Approved safety helmets required. Register at the ITT office.
Orioles vs. Red Sox
See the Saturday, May 31 Baltimore Orioles vs. the Boston Red Sox game at Camden Yards and enjoy a 90-minutes pre-game picnic in the Bull Pen. The menu including one sandwich of Bourbon Barbecue brisket of beef, Farfalle pasta salad, Oriole Park popcorn, fresh sliced watermelon, jumbo cookies, draft beer and soda. The price is $34.25 per person and $16 for Liberty E1-E6. Game starts at 7:05 p.m. Picnic starts at 5:35 p.m. Purchase tickets at the ITT office.
Carnival Cruise
The ITT office has a cruise planned! Set sail Saturday, Aug. 2, from Mobile, Ala. to Costa Maya and Cozumel on the cruise boat Holiday. The price for an interior cabin is $427 or an oceanview cabin for $477 per person. The 3rd and 4th persons in cabin pay $377 per person. Stop in the ITT office for this and other cruise details.
Vacation club
The Armed Forces Vacation Club offers all DoD civilian employees, reservists, active-duty, retired military and their family members the opportunity to book a seven-night luxury resort vacation for only $329. Nationals tickets
The ITT office has tickets to the Washington Nationals baseball games on various dates in May, June, July, August and September. The price is $36.50 and tickets must be bought in pairs. The seats are in section 108 row TT. Call 301-342-3648 for specific game dates and times.
Orioles tickets
Tickets can now be ordered for all Baltimore Orioles’ home games. The tickets must be pre-ordered at least two weeks before the game. The prices for non-premium games are lower box field seats for $34.25, left field lower box for $23.75 and left field upper box level for $6.50. The prices for Orioles vs. Red Sox or Yankees are lower box field seats $48.25, left field lower box for $37.50 and left field upper level for $16.25. Purchase tickets at the ITT office.
