Opening Day Scramble Golf
Register at the golf course club house through Sunday for the Opening Day Scramble Golf Tournament at the Cedar Point Golf Course Saturday, April 5. Shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. The entry fee is $40 and includes green fee, cart, coffee, donuts, lunch and prizes. Cost is $30 for annual members. Fees are to be paid on tournament day. Participants may enter only as foursomes. Teams may consist of no more than one ‘‘A” player (0-10 handicap), or two ‘‘B” players (11-16 handicap). If a team has no ‘‘A” players, they may have two ‘‘B” players (11-16 handicap). Open to the first 25 teams that register. Authorized patrons only. Ladies Golf opening day
Join the Cedar Point Ladies Golf Association Opening Day Tuesday, April 8 at 9 a.m. Begin with a continental breakfast, meeting and 9-hole play. Junior Golf Clinic
The Cedar Point P.G.A. pro team is holding a junior golf clinic for ages 7-17 every Saturday from April 12 through May 10. Registration begins Saturday at 8 a.m. at the clubhouse. Two clinic times are available: 3 - 4 p.m. or 4 - 5 p.m. The fee is $15 per child. This program is open only to children of authorized patrons (active-duty, reserve, retired military, or DoD civilians and contractors working at NAS Pax River or Webster Field). Free golf instruction
The Cedar Point Golf Course will be offering free golf instruction every Thursday from April 10 through May 15. Choose from classes at 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. The Cedar Point Golf Course pro team will conduct a free six-week series of golf instruction exclusively for active-duty military. This group instruction program is designed for beginning golfers. Equipment and range balls provided. No pre-registration required.

Comics on Duty
Thursday, April 17 the Comics on Duty tour makes a return appearance to Pax River. See comedians Steve Bills, Drake Witham, Kira Soltanovich and Tom Cotter live on stage. Pick from two shows. Enjoy the Laugh 'n Lunch show at Lil Eva's all hands recreation center with lunch at 11 a.m. and the show at noon. The price for the lunchtime show is $12 with advance purchase or $14 at the door. The price includes -he buffet lunch. You may also see the comics at the Flight Deck Lounge at 6:30 p.m. The price for that show is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Spring Intramural Sports
Spring Intramural Sports Organizational meetings will be held Monday, March 3 at 1 p.m. in the bowling center for softball;Thursday, March 27 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Point Golf Course Clubhouse for golf and Thursday, March 6 at 1 p.m. in the bowling center for in-line hockey.
