Walter Reed Army Medical Center officials are seeking input from its staff in a retention survey to determine what will be needed for WRAMC to retain personnel through 2011.
ėThe Base Realignment and Closure 2005 Decision for Walter Reed is a complex undertaking requiring significant resources and experience to plan and execute moves, from losing locations to gaining locations, so as not to negatively impact missions or key people,î said Ruth Barrow, civilian personnel officer at WRAMC.
ėWalter Reed must maintain not only our medical staff, but also those who provide support to the medical mission [until Sept. 15, 2011]. ėTo assist with our concern, we are launching a retention survey to access what incentives are needed to maintain and retain staff to continue our missions through BRAC transition and implementation.î She said input from respondents will be considered for planning compensation packages to keep employees at WRAMC. The survey applies to federal civilian employees.
The Walter Reed Garrison is also conducting town hall meetings Wednesday from 8 to 9:30 a.m., and Thursday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. to further explain the survey. The meetings will be in the MWR conference room in Delano Hall (Bldg. 11) and are for the Garison federal work force only.
