Organizers of the Marine Corps Marathon have partnered with Cannon Ridge Golf Club to present the Marine Corps Historic Half Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held May 16, beginning at 1 p.m., kicking off weekend activities at the Marine Corps Historic Half.
‘‘A great advantage of the half marathon distance is that runners can enjoy physical activities, like golf, the same weekend as running the Marine Corps Historic Half,” said Rick Nealis, Race director. ‘‘We are excited to partner with the Cannon Ridge Golf Club to provide another opportunity for runners to make the most of their race weekend experience in Fredericksburg.”
Open to the general public, and golfers of all skill levels, the Marine Corps Historic Half Golf Tournament will offer teams of four golfers play in a Captain’s Choice format, as well as lunch, dinner, prizes and more! Registration is $400 per team, and all players must be registered by May 2.
‘‘The Cannon Ridge Golf Club is thrilled to be hosting the Marine Corps Historic Half Golf Tournament,” said Dave Barton, Head Golf Professional. ‘‘We are grateful to be associated with such an outstanding organization and look forward to putting on a fun-filled golf tournament as part of this inaugural event in the Fredericksburg community.”
