Civilian Leadership Development Program workshops are scheduled for April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Lejeune Hall’s room 218.
The first workshop is for new participants. The session will introduce employees to CLDP. The program will aid civilian employees with the tools to become better leaders. The second workshop is the mentoring workshop. Members of the CLDP will be linked with mentors. All individuals will learn about the mentorship process and how to achieve individual goals.
GI Bill information session
A free Montgomery GI Bill information session is being offered April 15 at 10 a.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center’s classroom 3. Learn about buy-up, top-up, on the job and apprenticeship, monthly benefit payments, protecting your interest, licensing and certification reimbursement and much more. OCS boat ramp closure
The Officers Candidates School Boat Ramp will be closed from Tuesday to May 1 for installation of a new training facility. Elrod Road, which runs alongside of OCS headquarters building will be blocked during this period to prevent vehicle access to the boat ramp. Boaters are reminded there is a boat ramp access at Hospital Point just north of the Quantico Marina. Upon entering the Hospital Point gate, follow the signs to the boat ramp at the end of the road.

Safety Fair, Motorcycle Rally meeting
Each year MCBQ Safety Division hosts various events to increase safety awareness, and mishap prevention. This year’s event, Safety Fair and Motorcycle Rally, is scheduled for May 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Barnett Field. The intent is to promote safety awareness; reinforcing the importance of establishing a safe and healthy workplace, and practicing safe work habits at all times by all employees.
Individuals who would like to participate in this year’s event, should provide Kevin Jones with a brief statement of the support you or your agency will be providing. Also, there will be a planning meeting Wednesday in Lejeune Hall’s conference room, from 10 a.m. to noon. All commands should send their unit safety representatives.
