Health Promotion Office, Patient Call Center Offers Tips for Healthy Living
The National Naval Medical Center’s Health Promotion Department and Patient Call Center are offering health and wellness classes today, Thursday and April 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Bldg. 9 in room 1639. The classes will give staff members the opportunity to make healthy lifestyle changes. Class topics will cover better communication skills, anger management, cholesterol reduction and blood pressure control. Open Scheduling for Spring Physical Fitness Tests Concludes Tomorrow
The National Naval Medical Center’s Physical Fitness Assessment Office will close its open scheduling period for the spring physical fitness test tomorrow at 4 p.m. Service members who have not scheduled their appointments will be scheduled to meet the needs of the fitness office. Morale Program Hosts Paintballing Tourney to Promote Esprit de Corps
Morale, Welfare and Recreation’s Adventure Bound program is asking for warriors to take to the woods for a game of paintball Saturday. Cost of the outing is $15 for single Sailors and $10 with own equipment. Prices include weapon rental, face mask and 100 paintballs. Bring extra money for more paint. Multicultural Committee Hosts Event Monday for Women’s History Month
The National Naval Medical Center’s Multicultural Committee is inviting staff members to celebrate Women’s History Month at it’s second event, Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Bldg. 1 on the 5th floor. Guest speaker Shantell Powell is the author of ‘‘Never Send Your Husband Out Hungry for Nothing,” which pays tribute to her 81-year-old mother and is based on her philosophies.
