Neither the other runners nor the police could keep up with overall winner Bert Rodriguez, who won the seventh annual Shamrock 5K race at Anacostia. Kristen Sullivan (not pictured) topped all other women, finishing in just over 22 minutes.
More than 400 Sailors, civilian employees, contractors and family members took part in the seventh annual Captain’s Cup Shamrock 5K Run at the Naval Support Facility Anacostia Monday.
Bert Rodriguez and Kristen Sullivan were the overall winners in the men’s and women’s groups. Rodriguez, assigned to Director of Navy Staff (DNS) ran the race in 15 minutes, 12.33 seconds.
