Easter buffet at Pax Landing

5K Run⁄3K Walk

In celebration of NAS Pax River’s 65th anniversary MWR is having a 5K Run⁄3K Walk April 1. Check in begins at 10 a.m. at the Beach House. The 5K run begins at 11 a.m. and the 3K walk begins at 11:15 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the first place male and female 5K runners. This event is free (without T-shirt), or $6.50 (includes 65th anniversary shirt). Door prizes give to those present. Pre-register at the Information, Tickets and Tours office by April 1 to receive a T-shirt. The event is open to all hands.

Cedar Point Officers’ Club

The Cedar Point Officers’ Club is open for lunch Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. offering a full menu of regional dishes, salad bar, hot buffet and satisfying sandwiches. The Friday lunch buffet is $5 (membership discount does not apply.) Golf Tournament

Register at the golf course club house starting Saturday and continuing through March 30 for the Opening Day Scramble Golf Tournament at the Cedar Point Golf Course Saturday, April 5. Shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. The entry fee is $40 and includes green fee, cart, coffee, donuts, lunch and prizes. Cost is $30 for annual members. Fees are to be paid on tournament day. Participants may enter as foursomes only. Teams may consist of no more than one ‘‘A” player (0-10 handicap), or two ‘‘B” players (11-16 handicap). A team with no ‘‘A” players may have two ‘‘B” players (11-16 handicap). Open to the first 25 teams that register. Authorized patrons only. Comics on Duty

Thursday, April 17 the Comics on Duty tour makes a return appearance to Pax River. See comedians Steve Bills, Drake Witham, Kira Soltanovich and Tom Cotter live on stage. Pick from two shows. Enjoy the Laugh 'n Lunch show at Lil Eva's all hands recreation center with lunch at 11 a.m. and the show at noon. The price for the lunchtime show is $12 with advance purchase or $14 at the door. The price includes -he buffet lunch. You may also see the comics at the Flight Deck Lounge at 6:30 p.m. The price for that show is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets go on sale March 31 at the Patuxent Landing Restaurant, Cedar Point Officers' Club and Flight Deck Lounge.

Spring Intramural Sports

Spring Intramural Sports Organizational meetings will be held Monday, March 3 at 1 p.m. in the bowling center for softball;Thursday, March 27 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Point Golf Course Clubhouse for golf and Thursday, March 6 at 1 p.m. in the bowling center for in-line hockey.
