Effective immediately eligible service members, dependents, and retirees with time-sensitive legal issues may see an attorney during Tuesday afternoon walk-ins at the Quantico Legal Assistance office. Time-sensitive legal issues include consumer law, landlord tenant, and potential court actions with specific and impending deadlines. Clients with other legal issues should request the next available attorney appointment time.
A limited number of walk-in appointments will be available each Tuesday afternoon. Clients must sign up in person starting at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday to request an afternoon walk-in appointment and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once they receive a card with their walk-in appointment time, clients may leave the Legal Assistance office, but should return no later than 15 minutes prior to their appointment time. Failure to do so may result in their appointment being given to another client.

Tax center now open
The Quantico tax center is offering free tax services to eligible individuals Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Individuals must bring the following:
W-2 Forms of all earnings between January 2007-December 2007
Social Security Cards and⁄or military ID for all exemptions (i.e spouse, child, dependent parent, etc.)
All physical records of alimony payments or receipts
Charitable Contribution reports and receipts (churches⁄non-profit organizations)
Financial institutions routing number and personal bank information
Education Expenses
The center is located in the rear of Building 3095, which is across from the Education Center.

Federal employment workshop
The Career Resource Management Center is sponsoring a federal employment workshop for active duty service members, Department of Defense civilian employees, family members, and retirees March 28 from 9 a.m. to noon in Little Hall’s lower level classroom #2. Participants will learn about the federal employment process. The class will focus on preparing a federal resume and how to answer the ‘‘knowledge, skills and abilities” questions. Butler Stadium closures
