This police report is a daily chronological record of police activity from the past two weeks that was developed from reports, complaints, incidents or information received and actions resulting there from. Entries contained in the blotter may not be completely accurate and are not adjudications attesting to the guilt or innocence of any person.
A camera was reported stolen by a civilian employee Feb. 27. The civilian left the camera near his desk and locked the door to his office before leaving for about two weeks. When he returned to his office, the camera was missing. Movers had moved his office furniture during the same time. No forced entry was found by the Provost Marshal’s Office. An investigation continues by PMO.
Citations issued Feb. 27 include one for going 38 mph in a 25 mph zone.
A Soldier reported losing his post identification badge to the PMO Feb. 28. He said he noticed that he lost it before deploying to Iraq in February 2007. When he returned home in February of this year, he searched all of his gear in storage as well as other areas, but he still couldn’t find it.
Citations issued Feb. 28 include one for parking in a handicapped space without special registration.
An abandoned vehicle was towed from Flair Army Reserve Center Feb. 28.
A civilian turning a tractor trailer around near Ditto Ave. Feb. 29 cut the turn too close and hit a telephone pole, severing the cable and snapping the pole. The right rear wheels were dangling off the road while suspended over a ditch. The road was temporarily closed while a tow truck removed the immobilized vehicle. The driver was given a ticket for failing to use due caution.
A civilian reported Feb. 29 that while she was at Barquist Health Clinic someone stole her purse. An investigation continues.
Citations issued Feb. 29 include one for going 31 mph in a 15 mph zone.
Citations issued March 2 include one for consuming an alcoholic beverage while riding as a passenger in a vehicle.
A Soldier reported damage to his vehicle March 5. After parking his car overnight in a lot on post, the driver’s side mirror was found on the ground. No other scratches or paint were found on the mirror, and no witnesses were found. An investigation by MPI continues.
A suspicious letter was reported by a civilian on post March 5. The letter was handwritten, had multiple one cent stamps and had no return address on it. After being screened by PMO, it was found safe and returned.
