March 7

All-Nighter First Friday will be held at the Bolling Club from 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. This event is open to all club members and guests. Groove all night to the DJ sounds in the lounge. Free entry to all ladies from 5 to 9 p.m., $10 after 9 p.m. Free buffet for club members from 5 to 7 p.m. Win cash, Sunday Brunch or Seafood Extravaganza certificates in the membership drawing at 7 p.m.

The 11th Services Division will be serving breakfast Saturdays beginning March 8 from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Potomac Lanes.

Weight Watchers meetings will be held every Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m at the Technology Center. Call Laura Juricic with any questions at 202-562-8589.

Capital Cove Marina will begin a repaving project beginning March 10 to include repaving the dry storage area and entire marina parking lot. This will cause restricted access to the Resale Lot for a short period of time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Call 202-767-4651 for more information.

A St. Patrick’s Day Membership Luncheon will be held in the Washington Dining Room from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Free for club members and $11.95 for non-members. There will be a DJ for entertainment, prizes and a special buffet.

The 11th Wing Annual Awards Ceremony will be held at the Bolling Clubs. The price of admission is $10 for E-4 and below, and $20 for E-5 and above. For more information or to purchase a ticket, contact your first sergeant. The attire is mess dress or semiformal.

March 14

Be a part of St.Patrick’s Day by participating in the Fitness Center’s annual 5K Fun Run⁄Walk at noon. This event is open to active duty, DoD civilians and dependents. You must be 18 or older. The top three finishing times for men and women will receive prizes. The route will take you past some favorite spots here on Bolling Air Force Base, including along the waterfront where you will have views of the Capitol and Washington Monument for inspiration to keep going.

March 15

A base-wide Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 9:30 to 11:10 a.m. at the Youth Center Soccer Field (Rain day location - Youth Center Gym). Gather as many eggs as you can. Kids will be put into groups based on their age. Some eggs will have special prizes inside. Everyone will receive an Easter bag of treats. The Easter Bunny will be there to pose with your little ones.

9:30 a.m. –2-3 year olds
9:50 a.m. – 4-5 year olds
10:10 a.m. – 6-7 year olds
10:30 a.m. – 8-9 year olds
10:50 a.m. – 10-12 year olds

March 15

Mini Grand Prix Racing will be held by Outdoor Recreation from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Don’t miss this extreme two story indoor race track featuring 30 mph mini race cars. Cost is $75 for E1-E4 and $80 for E5-E9. Sign up by March 8. Must be 18 or older.

Everyone is welcome to the Easter Brunch Buffet at the Bolling Club from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy an elegant buffet while the kids visit with the Easter Bunny and receive a candy gift. Photos of your child with the bunny will be available for purchase. Buffet cost is $21.95 for adults , children $10.95, children 5 and under are free. Reservations are required by the March 21 at the club’s cashier’s cage or call 202-563-8400.

The Gazette & The Star will be hosting the 2008 Prince George’s County Spelling Bee. The event will be held at the Gildenhorn Recital Hall at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, University of Maryland at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public at no charge. The Spelling Bee is an academic competition that is open to all public, private and home taught seventh and eighth grade students in Prince George’s County.

Healthy Heart: Cholesterol and Blood Pressure Education will be offered at the Health and Welfare Center, Bldg. 1442 at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. Participants are provided with diet and lifestyle modification techniques for improving and maintaining healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels. The Civil War as depicted in children’s literature will be presented at Fort Ward Museum and Historic Site, 4301 West Braddock Road in Alexandria, Va., at 11 a.m. during ‘‘Civil War Story Time.” This program is suitable for elementary school children and will be held during many local school systems’ spring break.
