Distinguished Community Service Award
The Dahlgren Laboratory’s Distinguished Community Service Award is an honorary award designed to recognize individuals and groups who make unique contributions to their communities through volunteer service. The award focuses public attention on these outstanding and innovative volunteer efforts. Nominees must have rendered exceptional volunteer service that resulted in a significant benefit to the community (local, county, and/or state). The following are examples of categories where service may have been performed: cultural enrichment, education, environmental conservation, health and human services, mobilization of volunteers, public safety, youth services, or workplace volunteer activities. The award consists of a plaque.
