The Naval Support Activity Washington Housing Welcome Center in building 414, Naval Support Facility Anacostia, will conduct a free homebuyer’s workshop Feb. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All new and repeat homebuyers are encouraged to attend.
At this workshop attendees will hear firsthand from industry experts who will discuss the home-buying process from application to closing. The workshop covers such topics as knowing when to buy, where to look, what financing options are available, how to take advantage of tax write-offs, renting vs. owning a home and how much home can one afford?

My Biz is for non-bargaining unit employees only and it is imperative that all non-bargaining unit employees activate their My Biz account, which links to the Performance Appraisal Application (PAA). Employees are strongly encouraged to review the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System self-service tutorials for My Biz via the Web, www.cpms.osd.mil⁄regmod⁄selfservice⁄selfservice.html prior to establishing a password or accessing their account.
My Biz allows employees access to view information from their official personnel records including appointment, position, personal, salary, benefits, awards and bonuses and performance. In addition, employees may update their telephone number and email address, disability codes, race and national origin (ethnicity and race identification), and foreign language proficiency online with My Biz.

NRL fitness center, gym and pool update
The Naval Research Laboratory fitness center is an unmanned facility. However, it will remain open, with cardiovascular and selectorized weight equipment for customer use. The gymnasium will also remain available but there will no longer be any gear issue service. The pool will close due to the loss of contracted lifeguard services.
All NRL patrons interested in using free weights and other fitness services are more than welcome to utilize the facility at NSF Anacostia in building 419. The NSF Anacostia gym is open Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and includes a full range of services including free weights, cardiovascular and selectorized equipment and has a locker room with towels available for checking out.
