Chapel Activities

The Post Chapel is located at 1776 Ditto Ave. The phone number is 301-619-7371.

  • Catholic services are Sundays at 9:15 a.m. and a Saturday Mass at 5:30 p.m.

  • Protestant services are Sundays at 11 a.m.

  • Catholic Women of the Chapel meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. for recitation of the Rosary, a light dinner and meeting.

  • Protestant Women of the Chapel meet Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. for Bible study and fellowship.

  • The Chapel youth group meets Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m.

    Prayer Breakfast

    The next Post Chapel Prayer Breakfast is scheduled for Feb. 20 from 7 to 7:50 a.m. at the Community Activities Center, 718 Porter St.

    Playgroup

    The Family Advocacy Program hosts a childrens’ playgroup every Wednesday and Friday at the GMH Neighborhood Center.

    AFAP Conference

    The Army Family Action Plan Conference is scheduled for Feb. 25-28 at the Community Support Center, 1520 Freedman Dr. Issues talked about at the conference have the ability to make a huge difference in the quality of life of Soldiers, family members and civilians.

    SuperBowl Party

    The Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers is hosting a SuperBowl Party at the Rally Point Recreation Center Feb. 3. The price is $5 and includes hot dogs, wings, chili, at 301-619-2957.

    Toastmasters

    Learn to improve your speaking skills through the Fort Detrick Toastmasters. The next meetings is scheduled for Feb. 7 at noon in the Community Activities Center.

    Financial Readiness

    Auto Help Center

    The Auto and Self-Help Center is giving a vehicle maintenance clinic Feb. 13 and 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 1431 Sultan Dr. Instructors will show students the proper way to change oil and filters as well as how to check belts, hoses and antifreeze. Classes are $10 per person.
