The Joint Warfare Analysis Center held its awards ceremony for the fourth quarter of 2007 on Jan. 22.

Joint Service Achievement Medal

Air Force Maj. Jason E. Bartolomei received the Joint Service Achievement Medal for ‘‘dynamic and comprehensive support” to the command’s Strategic Planning Conference in August of last year. Before attending the conference, Bartolomei spent many hours of his own time gathering information, analyzing issues and sharing his findings with others to ensure that the meeting achieved the best results. As a result, he helped JWAC remain agile, innovative and responsive, ensuring its ability to support the war fighter.

Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Daryl C. Neill also received the Joint Service Achievement Award for his ‘‘exceptional leadership, technical expertise and resourcefulness” as part of a team that upgraded an agency’s ‘‘secure voice” communication line between February and June of last year. As a result, Neill was credited with saving JWAC $10,000 in material cost and 200 hours in installation time. The upgrade benefited both high-ranking officials as well as junior analysts.

Military Member of the Quarter

Air Force Staff Sgt. Jeffrey A. Posey received the Military Member of the Quarter award for the fourth quarter, 2007 for his ‘‘exceptional knowledge and continued leadership” rewiring one of JWAC’s communication networks and installing new equipment. As part of this effort, he helped remove more than 10,000 feet of abandoned cable and saved the command $5,000 in installation costs. Moreover, Posey also completed the Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education course and seven other computer classes.
