Quantico is conveniently accessed by Interstate 95 and there are two airports nearby: Dulles International in Centreville, and Ronald Reagan Washington National in Washington, D.C. Other transportation includes a bus terminal in nearby Triangle as well as Amtrak (800) 872-7245 and Virginia Railway Express (800) RIDE-VRE train services.

Finance

The Finance Office, in Little Hall, provides payroll services for all Marines aboard Quantico and Henderson Hall in Arlington.

Office Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 8 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Phone number: (703) 784-3193/2400 or DSN 278-2145.

The Civilian Payroll Office is in Lejeune Hall, 3250 Catlin Ave. Phone number: (703) 784-4658/4312 or DSN 278-4658.

Household Goods

If expecting a shipment of personal property, call the Traffic Management Office located at 2009 Zeilin Rd: Personal Property Section at (703) 784-2831/32/33; Passenger Section at (703) 784-2835/36; and Freight Receiving/Shipping at (703) 784-2837/2674. The DSN prefix is 278. The offices are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lodging

The Crossroads Inn offers "home away from home" accommodations: 78 comfortable rooms, 24 two-room suites and 42 efficiencies. For those traveling with small children there is a playground onsite. Since no pets are allowed, the front desk can provide information about local kennels. All ranks are welcome and reservation availability is determined by the purpose of stay. Vehicle, Pet and Weapons Registration

All service members, civilian employees, and government contractors working aboard MCB Quantico must register their vehicles with the Military Police Services, Vehicle, Pet and Weapons Registration Office located at 2043 Barnett Ave. This must be done within five business days of arrival. The following items are required: DoD identification card, valid state driver's license, state vehicle registration, and proof of insurance with policy number and expiration date.

All military personnel under 26 years of age must complete a driver's improvement course to obtain permanent base driving privileges. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Phone number: (703) 784-3336.

Motorcycles, mopeds, scooters and ATVs must meet the same requirements for registration of motor vehicles. Individuals registering these vehicles must provide a valid operator's license. All personnel must complete a motorcycle safety course prior to obtaining a permanent base decal.

All dogs and cats must be registered within 10 days of their arrival on base or after reaching the age of 4 months. Wild animals or exotic pets are prohibited. Certification of rabies vaccination is required. Call (703) 784-3336 for information on registering pets.

All privately owned weapons of personnel living on base must be registered. Phone: (703) 784-3336. Please do not bring pets or weapons to the registration office.

Trailers, oversize trucks and recreational vehicles must be registered and kept in the assigned lot at Lunga Park or by the Interstate 95 and Russell Road interchange. For space, call (703) 784-2359 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
