The Commissary offers an in store service bakery, deli department and value mart. Patrons purchasing items must show identification at the check out line. The Commissary offers early bird shopping Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Purchases are limited to 15 items or less and patrons process their orders through the self-checkout lanes.

The Interactive Customer Evaluation (ICE) system is for all active duty military, reservists, Department of Defense (DoD) civilians, DoD contractors, retirees and their family members. ICE allows individuals to comment on Fort Meade, whether they are arriving, leaving, visiting, working or living here.

Retail Services

A large-scale shopping center complex is located between Mapes and Reece Roads, adjacent to the Post Office. The complex houses the Main Exchange Store and a variety of concessions. These include a beauty salon, barber shop, shoe repair, jeweler and watch repair, flower shops, as well as a tailor service, optical shop, video rental, dry cleaners and food court.

Credit Union

The Fort Meade Community Credit Union is located in Building 4471B.

The credit union is owned and operated by the membership, which includes all military and civilian personnel. The credit union promotes thrift through regular savings and extends loans to members at reasonable rates for any provident or productive purpose.

The credit union was organized in October 1947 and has been in continued service since that time. All military and civilian personnel at Fort Meade, as well as family members, are eligible for membership.

Dividends on share (savings) are paid quarterly. Financial assistance counseling is available by request.

The Citizens National Bank on Fort Meade is located in the Exchange Services Shopping Complex.

The Citizens National Bank is a full-service commercial bank offering a wide variety of checking and savings products for military and civilian personnel in the Fort Meade area to include free checking service for those with direct deposit. There are three ATM locations on post.
