Fort Meade enables critical national security missions by providing its customers and community the facilities and infrastructure they require, the quality of life they deserve, and a safe, secure environment in which to work and live. Fort Meade has the fourth largest workforce of Army installations in the continental United States with approximately 40,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel.
Fort Meade’s structure is provided by the Installation Management Command and the Northeast Region Office. IMCOM oversees all facets of installation operations to include construction, family care, food management, environmental programs, morale and well-being programs, public works, and installation funding.
The 3rd Training Battalion (CS⁄CSS), 312th Regiment is a tri-component organization with Active, Reserve and Active-Guard Reserve (AGR) component Soldiers within one command under the 72nd Field Artillery Brigade.
The Army Family Action Plan is a grassroots-level process that gives those who work, live on, or use the installation an opportunity to influence their quality of life. Representatives from throughout the local community convene annually to identify, develop, and prioritize local, global military and installation-level quality of life issues. Issues considered during the AFAP conference are accepted at any time throughout the year.
Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center is not a hospital, and therefore does not have an emergency room or inpatient services. In case of emergency, patients should go to the nearest emergency room or dial 911.
The Information Tickets and Registration Office is a centralized point where members of the Fort Meade community can obtain information about available recreational and entertainment activities not only on post, but also in the surrounding civilian communities.
