The Housing Welcome Center is located in Building 2371 at NAS Patuxent River. Lincoln Military Housing has entered into a Public Private Venture (PPV) with the Navy and manages all military family housing units that are part of the Naval Air Station Patuxent River complex. There are 771 housing units for officer and enlisted families. The government in compliance with OPNAVINST 11101.13 series establishes the bedroom entitlement and assignment policies. Waiting times may vary with each housing area. The housing office reviews applications for family housing, determines eligibility and delivers the applications to Lincoln Military Housing for assignment to quarters. Assignment to quarters does not automatically allow the breaking of a lease agreement in the local community; however, Lincoln Military Housing may be able to work a lease buy-out with a current apartment community, inquire about the details of this program. The following is needed to apply for Military Family Housing:

1. DD Form 1746 Application for Assignment to Housing
2. A copy of your orders
3. Certification of bona fide family members (members listed on the emergency data application)

Military members must contact the housing office before making any arrangements for housing in the local community. Housing referral service is provided to military, civilian contractor employees and their family members. This service assists in the location of suitable, non-discriminatory, affordable housing in the community through rental/sales listings by owners and local real estate brokers. The foyer area of the Housing Welcome Center is open 24 hours with updated area listings and additional information on the surrounding area.

Lincoln Military Housing

The mission of Lincoln Military Housing is to provide military families with exemplary service in a quality home environment. Several communities are being renovated and two new neighborhoods are being built off station.

The rent charge for living in military housing is equal to the BAH rate for Pax River. Lincoln Military Housing offers several financial benefits as well as multiple programs and activities to foster a sense of community. Some benefits to being a Lincoln Military Housing resident are:

1. No utility payments
2. 24-hour emergency maintenance
3. No security deposit if the allotment payment option is selected
4. Free monthly events with different themes
5. Sponsored events such as free tickets to the circus or ball games
6. Free renters insurance ($10,000)
7. Free roadside assistance (on station and within a five-mile radius)
8. Maintained grounds

Currently, Lincoln Military Housing is also accepting geographical bachelors and single service members as residents in select communities.

Carpenters Park Housing Area
(Enlisted Quarters - 100 Units)
48 four-bedroom and 52 three-bedroom units. Floor plans are similar. Quarters are assigned to enlited personnel. Equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and an exterior storage shed. These quarters are air conditioned. Total square feet 1696.

Glen Forest Housing Area
(Enlisted Quarters - 250 Units)
174 two-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath; 556 three-bedroom. 2 1/2-bath and 20 four-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath townhouse units. They are equipped with a heat pump, central air conditioning, an electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal and garage. The units were constructed in 1985. Total square footage for two-bedroom 1250; three-bedroom, 1780; four-bedroom is 1900.

Shepard Terrace Housing Area
(Enlisted Quarters - 100 Units)
20 four-bedroom, two bath; 32 three-bedroom, two-bath 12 three-bedroom, one-bath; and 36 two-bedroom, two bath units. Units are assigned to enlisted through field grade personnel. Quarters are equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, storage shed, and air conditioning. Total square footage of each; four-bedroom, two-bath-1,800; three bedroom, two-bath-1,310; three-bedroom, one-bath 1,190 and two-bedroom, one-bath-1,087.

Conrad Heights and Lovell Court Housing Area
(Enlisted Quarters - 28 Units)
Simlar floor plan, and amenities as Conrad Heights and Lovell Court. 14 four-bedroom units constructed in 1969. Total square footage of each; three-bedroom-1,164; four-bedroom-1,330.

Chaffee Court
(Enlisted Quarters - 272 Units)
120 four-bedroom and 152 three-bedroom units. Quarters are assigned to enlisted personnel. They are equipped with an electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, garbage disposal and an exterior storage shed. Quarters are equipped with a heat pump and central air conditioning.

Navy Gateway Inns & Suites

Active duty, reservists, federal employees on orders, and retirees (space available) may make reservations at the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites. This is a transient facility only. All rooms are non-smoking and there is a NO pet policy. The following are subject to availability - 74 suites with equipped kitchens (two of which are handicap accessible) and 74 VQ rooms (one of which is handicap accessible) with microwaves and refrigerators. All have expanded cable, DVD/VCR, direct dial long distance service, free local telephone service, free wireless internet service, air conditioning, hair dryers, irons, ironing boards, ice machines, vending area, free video check out, free coffee mess, free washer/dryer facilities, exercise room and housekeeping services. Check-in is located in Building 406; check in time is 3 p.m. Call for reservations. The Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (transient) and the Bachelor Quarters (permanent party) are now separate entities.
