Information related to disabled patron shopping times are provided within the summary paragraph for each location. Andrews Air Force Base

The Andrews commissary's warm and friendly staff stands ready to meet all your shopping needs. Special orders are accepted for bakery, deli and vegetable trays, along with fruit baskets and decorated cakes for all occasions. The store's specialties include a bakery, deli, home meals, coupon exchange area, grab-and-go section, and a lunchtime express check out register for 10 items or fewer. Andrews commissary is a handicap-friendly facility, and disabled patrons may begin shopping 30 minutes prior to normal commissary hours.

Annapolis Naval Station, Md.

The Annapolis Commissary welcomes patrons to enjoy its smaller-store hospitality, offering eight checkouts and meat department special orders. Complimentary coffee is available from opening to 1 p.m., and disabled patrons may begin shopping 30 minutes prior to normal hours.

Bolling Air Force Base

Bolling boasts one of the Defense Commissary Agency's most modern facilities, offering a complete selection of meat, dairy products, produce, frozen foods, fresh seafood, deli items and fresh bakery items. The award-winning commissary also includes the unique service of full in-store banking and hot foods. Other features include: single serve section, complimentary coffee bar, delicious hot panini subs, plants, nutritional center and live lobsters. Special order bakery items such as photo cakes, party trays and fruit baskets. There are 15 checkouts. Bank of America Military Bank is located in the commissary and operates a similar schedule as the commissary, except it is closed Sundays. The commissary and Bank of America Military Bank are closed in observance of all federal holidays and Easter. Disabled patrons may begin shopping 30 minutes prior to normal commissary hours.

Dahlgren Naval Surface Warfare Center, Va.

The Dahlgren Commissary, with three checkouts, is small but modern. Built in 1995, the store offers special cuts of meat processed on request, special orders in meat and produce with 48 hours notice, a grab-and-go case with 15-minute parking near the entrance, and complimentary hot coffee until 1:30 p.m.

Fort Belvoir, Va.

The Defense Commissary Agency's premier store, the Fort Belvoir Commissary offers a wide variety of fresh meats, produce, grocery, seafood, in-store bakery and delicatessen items. The store's state-of-the-art features include 32 checkout lanes with credit card transaction capability, electronic price labels and an ATM machine in the lobby. Other specialties include: Grab-N-Go section with sandwiches, salads, soft drinks, fruit and desserts; special order deli platters, specialty cakes, vegetable and fruit trays; selection of complimentary coffee daily from opening to 1 p.m.; rotisserie chicken; and home meal replacement section. The store opens 30 minutes early for those needing special assistance.

Fort Detrick, Md.

Fort Meade, Md.

The Fort Meade staff promises service with a smile as they offer a wide variety of special features, including garden-fresh produce, bakery, deli with custom-made pizza and calzones, grab-and-go section with separate register, and a full-service fish market, offering fish, shellfish, crab legs, shrimp or live lobsters steamed while you wait, and seasonings. There are 26 checkouts, and disabled patrons may begin shopping 30 minutes prior to normal hours.

Fort Myer, Va.

(703) 696-3674, Building 409; Hours: Mon, Wed and Fri 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m., Tues-Thur 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Sat 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Sun 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Fort Myer Commissary welcomes customers with its bakery, deli, fresh seafood department, Grab-N-Go section with salads, sandwiches, chips, snacks and a cash register near the café tables from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for purchases of six items or fewer. There are also three Grab-N-Go 15-minute parking spots near the front of the store. Complimentary coffee is available until 1 p.m. daily. Store offers 19 checkouts and Early Bird shopping hours with limited services prior to regular store hours: Mon-Fri 7-8:30 a.m., Sat 7-8 a.m., Sun 9-10 a.m.

Quantico Marine Corps Base, Va.

The Quantico Commissary is ready to be of total service to customers with its select beef and Black Angus sections; deli, bakery and fresh seafood departments; grab-and-go section; home meal replacement section; and special order availability for fruit baskets and party trays -- meat, cheese or vegetables. The store offers 16 checkouts, 15-minute parking spaces for patron convenience and complimentary coffee until 1 p.m. daily. Disabled patrons may begin shopping 30 minutes prior to normal hours.

Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Md.

The Walter Reed Commissary specializes in great customer service, so check out their specialties: deli, fresh-prepared salads in produce, home meal replacement section, and grab-and-go section. Special orders are available for fruit baskets and specialty baskets, as well as party trays -- fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese, meat and cheese, croissants, and bagels and cream cheese, with delivery service on base for special functions.
