Weight loss products, commercials and programs are everywhere. So much so, that it can be difficult to determine which strategies will work best for you when attempting to lose weight. If you are confused, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) is here to help.

This month the Outpatient Clinical Nutrition Services begins a new civilian weight management program open to beneficiaries and civilian employees. The goal of the program is to educate participants on the most effective strategies to lose weight while implementing therapeutic lifestyle changes.

Classes will be taught by Outpatient Clinical Nutrition Services Staff, which includes registered dietitians and a registered clinical exercise physiologist. The first class will be held Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m., located in the Outpatient Clinical Nutrition Services Clinic (Building 7, third floor). All subsequent classes will be on the first Tuesday of each month from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the same location.

For more information, call Bob Goldberg, registered dietitian/certified diabetes educator, WRNMMC, at 301-400-2704.
