A non-commissioned officer places new stripes on an Airman selected for promotion to the rank of staff sergeant, Aug 2, during a celebration at the Slip Inn Bar & Grill at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. More than 13,400 senior airmen, 40 percent of those eligible, have been selected for promotion to the first non-commissioned officer rank Air Force wide. Those selected will be promoted beginning in September, depending on their promotion sequence number. JBAB leadership and its mission partners congratulate those Airmen on base who were selected.
