Regional Paintball Trip

Hogback Mountain Paintball

Roundtop Vertical Trek

Not for the faint of heart! ODR is looking up! We are going to Roundtop Mountain Resort for their “Vertical Trek.” It begins with a chairlift ride to the top of the mountain. Participants descend over 600 vertical feet using a series of zip lines (up to 400 feet in length), rope bridges, tarzan swings, cargo nets and scenic walks. Some of the features have start and finish platforms that are over 40 feet high. Treks take between two and a half to four hours to complete. Safety first. Tours are guided by professionals and participants are always secured at two points. Closed toe shoes and weather appropriate (but not loose) clothing are required. The Vertical Trek is for ages 18 and older. The Trek has many features that require some level of physical stamina.Weight limits 70-250 pounds. Price includes "Vertical Trek" and Transportation at $87. Depart at 8 a.m. and returns at 4 p.m. Minimum of six and maximum of 20 participants.
The Trek is designed to be a thrilling physical activity. Many of the elements are over 40 feet off the ground. The ability to climb nets and ladders, and walk over rugged wooded terrain is required. Lehigh Gorge White Water Rafting

Say goodbye to summer in a big way! This is one of the “must-do” river trips in the world of whitewater rafting. You’ll discover an awesome combination of exciting rapids and spectacular wilderness scenery inside of the Lehigh Gorge Park. This is one of the most popular whitewater trips in the East, made even better by a special water release from the Francis Walter Dam!
Cost for rafting, life jacket, helmet and transportation is $83 for Active Duty and $93 for all others.
Participants must be at least 9-years-old and 44 inches tall.

Cardboard Boat Regatta

Come and say goodbye to summer by joining the Youth Center Staff for our Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta Race. Pick up your free materials for your boat construction (four pieces of cardboard and one roll of duct tape per team.) Supplies are limited to one boat per family. Inaugural Navy-Air Force Half Marathon and Navy 5 Miler

The Navy 5-Miler is expanding into the Joint Base Half-Marathon and Navy 5-Miler in 2012. The inaugural half-marathon and 9th Annual 5-Miler will take place at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, on the grounds of the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. Additional activities during race weekend will include an Expo in conjunction with Packet Pick-up and a Pasta Party meal available from 11 a.m. 7 p.m. All pre-race activities will be hosted at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Club Saturday, Sept. 15. The race is open to military and civilian runners, and participants and volunteers can find more information and register at www.jointbasehalfmarathon.com.
