A pair of Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region Army Air Operations Group personnel ceremonies are scheduled during the next month.

On August 2, Command Sgt. Maj. Chad Cuomo will turn over responsibility to incoming Command Sgt. Maj. Shawn L. Jones. The change of responsibility ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at United States Army Priority Air Transport hanger 2 at Joint Base Andrews AFB.

Cuomo has served as JFHQ-NCR’s command sergeant major since August 1, 2010. He is approaching his 30th year of service in the U.S. Army.

Two weeks following the change in responsibility ceremony, an AAOG change in command is scheduled at Joint Base Andrews. On August 16 at 10 a.m., Col. Scott E. Sanborn will pass the colors to incoming Col. William D. McGarrity. The ceremony location is set for U.S. Army Priority Air Transport hanger 3.

Sanborn took command of AAOG on August 31, 2010.

The AAOG gathers, coordinates, and executes aviation operations including regional and worldwide priority air transport for senior leadership, Department of Defense officials and combat commanders.
