Visit Calvert House discovery

View the recent archaeological discovery of the Calvert House foundation and cellars, and watch as other features emerge during normal museum hours: Wednesdays-Sundays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Calvert House was built soon after the settlement of Maryland, and was the social and political capital for most of the 17th century. Admission to the museum is $10 adults, $9 seniors, $6 youths ages 6-18, and free for Friends members, and youths five and younger.

Maryland's Best Ice Cream Trail

Marylanders can get their official "Maryland's Best Ice Cream Trail" passports at www.marylandsbest.net and search for the geocaches. The program highlights the contributions of Maryland's 495 dairy farms by encouraging people to visit a farm and see what dairy farming is really like, all while enjoying locally produced ice cream.

Oyster Wars cannon on display

See a unique cannon from the oyster wars. The original cannon was used by the Maryland State Oyster Police Force to control the oyster harvest in the Chesapeake Bay in the 1900s.
