Financial Counseling
Free financial coaching for all service members, federal employees, contractors, and family member is available at the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) in Building 11. Help is available to analyze your credit report or credit scores; discuss retirement (Thrift Savings Plan) options; create a budget, and more. Also, check out the following upcoming free financial classes: Retirement Planning on July 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Building 11, Room 8; Purchasing a New or Used Car on July 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Building 11, Room 18; and Do You Want to be a Millionaire on July 24-25 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day in Building 11, classroom 159. Social Security Administration Support
Social Security Administration (SSA) representatives are available to assist all service members with disability applications every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Tranquility Hall on the second floor of the Soldier and Family Assistance Center. Education Services Workshops
The Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) in Building 11 is hosting upcoming workshops in July and August including: Maintaining Healthy Relationships on July 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in classroom 158; Assertive Communication on Aug. 2 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in classroom 158; and How to De-Junk Your Life on Aug. 9 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in classroom 111. The workshops are open to all military members, retirees, Guards, Reservists, their spouses, Department of Defense civilians and contractors. Scream Free Parenting Group
The Scream Free Parenting Group meets each Wednesday to Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC), Building 11 (check in room 109). Classes focus on ways to reduce parental stress and effective, positive ways to interact with your children. Techniques will be taught in how to discipline without yelling, communicating positively, and promoting cooperative behavior in children ages 3 to 18.
