Children's story time
A children's story time is slated to be held at the base library on June 25 at 5:30 p.m. Join the library staff during the story time for books from our easy read collection followed by a craft or activity time. For more details, call 301-981-6454.
Teen Week 1
The Youth Center is slated to host Teen Week 1 from June 25 - 29. Join the Youth Center staff for a fun-filled week of field trips including: whitewater rafting and a visit to the National Zoo, Rebounderz and more! Sign-up and trip details are available at the Youth Center.
Franchising workshop
A workshop called "Franchising: Your Next Career Alternative" is slated to be held June 26 from 10 a.m. - noon at the Military and Family Support Center. Workshop participants may discover the many franchises available to veterans at discounted prices and can learn the advantages and disadvantages of franchising. Space is limited. Education fair and blood drive

Job fair seminar
A seminar on how to 'work' a job fair is slated to be held at the Military and Family Support Center on June 29 from 9 - 11 a.m. Learn tips on what to expect, how to prepare and how to make a positive impression at your next job fair. Free movie night
A free family movie night is slated to be held on the lawn at the Youth Center today at 8:30 p.m. This month's feature is "The Secret World of Arrietty." Concessions will be available for sale. For more information, call 301-981-5636.
Motorcycle Safety Day
On July 13 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., JBA will hold our Second Annual Motorcycle Safety Day (MSD-12). The location will be at the current motorcycle training range (next to the base theater and Home Traditions).
This event is designed to increase motorcycle safety for all DoD current and future riders. The event will include challenges, demonstrations, best bike contest, food, games, prizes and a group ride. All DoD personnel in the National Capital Region (NCR) are welcome to attend, even if you don't ride.
