Shoppette to post new hours
Beginning Monday, June 18, the Army and Air Force Exchange Service Shoppette at the Fort McNair portion of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall will be operating under new hours. Gasoline pumps will still be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The new hours Monday through Friday will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closing an hour earlier than previosly); and closed Saturday (now open 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) as well as Sunday. ACAP seminars and workshops
On June 18, the Army Career and Alumni Program will be offering free workshops on Veterans Administration benefits and the Disability Transition Assistance Program at the Town Hall, Bldg. 243. Classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Workshops are designed to provide individuals with a comprehensive assessment of their veterans benefits after their departure from the military. Information covered will include VA home loans, survivor benefits, life insurance, burial benefits, GI bill and health care benefits. To register, call 703-696-0973.
Welcome to Germany class

Spouse newcomer orientation
Make reservations by June 21 for the spouse newcomer orientation which will be held June 26 from noon to 2 p.m. Learn about and explore Old Town Alexandria, using the Metro and all the local things you can do while stationed in the National Capital Region. Warrant Officer Association meeting

Fight Night at the Marine Club
The Ultimate Fighting Challenge Fight Night returns to the Marine Club on Saturday, June 23 at 10 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m. with a special menu served until 10:30 p.m. The fight is being broadcast from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Mammogram testing
Mobile mammography will be available June 26-28 for Rader Clinic-enrolled women between the ages of 42 and 69 years old, who need a mammogram screening. If you have breast implants, have had breast cancer, felt a lump or a mass, schedule an appointment with your provider so the appropriate study can be ordered. Chesty’s Fun Run registration open
Registration is open for the third annual Chesty’s Fun Run, to be held June 27, starting at 6:35 a.m. on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. MCCS Health Promotions will hold the event beginning and ending at Smith Gym. The route is five kilometers, and participants are encouraged to walk or run. Married and Loving It
Marine and Family Programs offers Married and Loving It. The all-day seminar will be held June 29. The curriculum teaches the characteristics and skills of happy and successful couples. Rader Clinic children’s physicals
Rader Clinic is offering physicals for children at the pediatric clinic until Sept. 28. The appointment will take one to two hours to complete. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Parents must bring the following information to the appointment: military identification, shot records, medical records, glasses/ contacts and a physical form with parents’ section complete.
