June 9: There will be an Exceptional Family Member Program Picnic at the Fort Detrick Nallin Pond. Come out for a fun-filled afternoon of games, prizes, cake walk, fishing and playtime. Guests are welcome. Bring your own picnic basket, water and juice provided. Free admission. For more information call 301-619-3385.

June 9: The MWR is hosting Coffee and Tea House Tour. The bus will depart from the Community Support Center (building 1520) at 10 a.m. Enjoy downtown Frederick's hidden gems. Walk the downtown area and try different shops, you may even find your newest Java spot! The cost is $5 per person. For more information, call 301-619-4079.

June 10: The 2012 free Summer Concert Series kicks off at Baker Park with a concert by Shania Twain! Admission is free, but anyone attending is encouraged to bring a canned food item in lieu of admission. All items collected benefit the Frederick Food Bank. The performance begins at 7 p.m.

June 14: Big Miracle (PG) will be playing in Strough Auditorium (building611) for free! The movie starts at 10 a.m., doors open 30 minutes before the movie starts. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.For more information, call 301-619-4079.

June 16: MWR is hosting the Fort Detrick Military Family and Wounded and Injured Warriors BBQ at the Nallin Pond Recreation Area. The BBQ will take place from 12 - 4 p.m. There will be free catered BBQ, live entertainment, moon bounces, pony rides, static displays and much more! Featured performance by Crystal Sands. Admission is free, open to all military ID and CAC holders.

June 18: Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (PG) will be playing in Strough Auditorium (building 611) for free! The movie starts at 10 a.m., doors open 30 minutes before the movie starts. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call 301-619-4079.
