Start your summer off right by attending the upcoming “Introduction to Mentoring” workshop 8 a.m. to noon June 13 at Frank Knox, Building 2189. This workshop, open to government civilians and military personnel, is designed to provide new and experienced mentors and mentees with tools for successful mentoring partnerships.
During this workshop, you will:
Ÿ Understand the mentoring program vision, goals and expectations
Ÿ Develop a working knowledge of protégé and mentor roles and expectations
Ÿ Gain awareness of key principles, practices and resources that support successful mentoring relationships
Ÿ Understand the benefits of mentoring
Ÿ Answer the question, "How do I find a mentor?"
Ÿ Participate in "speed mentoring" exercises to prepare you for that initial meeting between potential mentors and mentees
