Katie reaches out to young fans at the Sesame Street/USO Experience for Military Families at NAS Patuxent River on May 26. Katie, the newest character to the Sesame Street/USO show, is a 6-year-old girl who is normally happy-go-lucky, bright and cheery; at the beginning of the show she is sad. She has just learned that her dad, who is in the military, has been transferred to another base. Katie and her parents will have to move. The 70-stop tour showcases the power of friendship when Elmo and his Sesame pals help Katie share her fears and excitement as she moves to a new place and making new friends.
