Track closed for construction
The base track is now closed for a construction project. For your safety, do not interfere with construction by disregarding fencing and posted signs. The new PT test route is at the end of Duncan Ave. near Stewart Theater until further notice. Drivers please use caution while using this portion of the road during testing.
JBAB Girl Scouts
Calling all Girls! JBAB Girl Scouts is currently preparing for the 2012- 2013 school year. The troop meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the community center on Chappie James Blvd at 6 p.m. Girl Scouts; building girls with confidence, character and courage for 100 years.
Toastmasters Club seeks new members
The Bolling Toastmasters Club meets every Wednesday from 12:15-1:15 p.m. at the JBAB Chapel Center. Participants can learn to hone their communication and leadership skills. Asian Pacific Heritage Month Luncheon
The Asian Pacific Heritage Month Luncheon will be May 29, 11:30 a.m. at the Bolling Club Tuskegee Room. The guest speaker is the Honorable Edward Chow Jr., Maryland Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Pool Grand Opening Saturday
The JBAB pool will reopen May 26 from 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Grand opening will feature free food until 2 p.m., DJ entertainment, volleyball, and more.
Sky Vacation Bible School
The JBAB Chapel will begin registration June 17 after each worship service for "Sky" Vacation Bible School. Registration cards may also be completed through the week at the Chapel Center during normal duty hours. "Sky" will be held July 9 - 13, 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. at the JBAB Chapel Center. Public Affairs closed Friday, Monday
The JBAB PA office will be closed on Friday, May 25 and Monday, May 28 for the Memorial Day holiday. Please be aware that many Naval District Washington facilities providing customer service may be closed for the holiday as well. Please call individual organizations for possible closures prior to visiting.
Wick Dr. to undergo construction
Wick Drive on JBAB's north side will be closed for construction June 4-15 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday. It will be open during non-peak hours and on weekends. For more information, call 202-767-8640.
Building 357 parking garage closure
The parking garage at Building 357 will undergo construction throughout the summer months. The first and second levels will be partially closed May 25-27; both levels will be closed June 4-12; and only the second level will be closed June 12 through mid-August. Volunteers needed for Navy-Air Force Half Marathon
Volunteers are needed for the Navy-Air Force Half Marathon Sept. 15 for the Expo, Packet Pick-up and Pasta Party at the JBAB Club, and on race day Sept. 16 on the grounds of the Washington Monument in D.C. All volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt, commemorative coin, and a certificate of appreciation signed by the JBAB commander.
