11th Wing Golf Outing
The 11th Wing is slated to host a golf outing on May 22 at The Courses at Andrews for all 11th Wing members. Event registration begins at 8 a.m. with the shotgun start beginning at 9 a.m. Lunch and prizes are offered to all who enter. Price for the event is $70 for DOD personnel, $80 for non-DOD civilians, $40 for The Courses at Andrews members. Sign up and pay through the 11 WG Command Section by calling 612-5820.
Wing Sports Day
The 11th Wing is slated to host a Wing Sports Day on May 24. Each squadron will be participating against each other and the winning squadron will receive a Wing Sports Day trophy. The opening ceremony will be held at the MPF track at 7 a.m. Events include a 5K race, a one-pitch softball game, a three-on-three basketball game, a volleyball game, and a commander/first shirt challenge. Squadrons will need to have their roster turned into their 11 WG representative by May 21. For more information, call 301-981-9145.
Story time at the Library
A Story time at the Library event is slated to take place at the base library at 5:30 p.m. on May 21. Come out and enjoy this event and partake in some memorable stories told by some of Andrews’ own. Registration for this event is not required.
Veteran’s Benefits seminar
A Veteran’s Benefits seminar is slated to be held today from 7:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at the Military and Family Support Center. Retiring service members will learn about Survivors Benefit Plan (SBP), Tricare and John Hopkins health care as well as the Veteran’s Administration (VA) on all their VA benefits. Space is limited. Airfest Party
Attend Andrews’ annual Airfest Party held at The Club at Andrews today. This event is free. Doors open at 6 p.m. During the event, meet the Blue Angels, The Golden Knights, and up-and-coming country star Barry Michaels! For more information, call 301-568-3100.
Base Pool grand opening
The Joint Base Andrews pool is slated to open May 24 at 3 p.m. The pool is open all summer and is free to all of Team Andrews. Pool grand opening ceremonies will include speeches by 11th Wing leadership, festive dances, food and fun!

Free Movie on the Lawn
A free movie is slated to be shown on the lawn of the Youth Center here at 8:30 p.m. on May 25. Bring your friends, family and own refreshments to enjoy a free family-friendly movie.

Freedom Hall Dining Facility is slated to host a Birthday Meal on May 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is to celebrate the birthdays of all active-duty personnel born between February and May. Registration for this event is required. For more details, call 301-981-6661.
