Asian Pacific American Heritage Observance

All are invited to the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month observance today from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the America Building atrium (piano area). The event, sponsored by the Bethesda Multicultural Committee, will include dancers, singers and free traditional Asian food. Family Advocacy Bi-annual Training

Family Advocacy will provide bi-annual training for key personnel on Monday from either 9 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m. in Clark Auditorium. Key personnel include Case Review Committee members and Family Advocacy Points of Contact Commanding Officers, Executive Officers, Officers-in-Charge, Command Master Chiefs, Senior Enlisted Advisors and FAP representatives. It is recommended that Department Heads, Ombudsmen and military personnel E-7 and above attend this training. You must register in advance. Bike to Work Day

Staff at Naval Support Activity Bethesda (NSAB) are encouraged to participate in the annual "Bike to Work Day" May 18. Light refreshments will be available at the NSAB pit stop, located at the South Gate entrance across from the Metro from 6 to 10 a.m. To pre-register for the event, go to www.biketoworkmetrodc.org, or call 1-800-745-7433. Those who pre-register by tomorrow will receive a free "Bike to Work" T-shirt. The NSAB point of contact is Jack Jackson, MWR intramural sports coordinator, (301) 295-0031.

Performance and Resilience Enhancement Workshop

A Performance and Resilience Enhancement Workshop will be held May 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., to help all staff and health care providers reach their potential, as well as lower stress and compassion fatigue. The workshop, open to all military and civilians, is in Building 5, Rm. 4028. It's part of the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness program, designed to build and strengthen confidence, goal setting, attention control, energy management and integrate imagery.
