Annual community yard sale

Joint service open house and air show
The 2012 Joint Service Open House, featuring the Blue Angels, Golden Knights and other aerial and ground attractions will be held May 19-20 on Joint Base Andrews. JBM-HH’s celebration of Asian Pacific American heritage month will be held May 16 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the community center. Guest speaker will be Eric K. WMZQ to host live radio show
As part of their military appreciation week, 98.7 WMZQ-FM will broadcast their morning radio show live from disc jockey. Join morning DJ Boxer as he broadcasts from outside the Community Center and Dining Facility May 17 from 5 - 9 a.m. Units from every service are asked to come out and enjoy the show. Community center offers Redskins tickets
2012/2013 Washington Redskins tickets go on sale starting May 7 at 10 a.m. at the JBM-HH Community Center, Bldg. 405. The Redskins combination package consists of one pair of pre-season tickets and one pair of regular season tickets to any of the Washington Redskins 2012/2013 home games. The cost is $480 for each package. Seats are located in section 129 in the stadium’s lower level end zone. For more information, please call the community center at 703-696-3470.
Iwo Jima 7K
Registration is open for the Iwo Jima 7k Run/5k Walk scheduled for May 16. Online registration is open through May 10. Late, on-site registration on the day opens 5:30 – 6:30 a.m. The race begins at 6:35 at Smith Gym and proceeds to the Marine Corps War Memorial, returning to the gym. Help Army celebrate 237th birthday
In honor of the Army’s 237th birthday, the Army G-2, on behalf of the Secretary of the Army and the Army Chief of Staff, will sponsor the 2012 Army Birthday Ball at the Washington Hilton, 1919 Connecticut Avenue, NW, from 5 p.m. to midnight. Saturday, June 16. Get your tickets through the Army Knowledge Online page at www.us.army.mil/suite/page/ArmyBirthdayBall. Tickets for the 2012 Army Birthday Ball will cost $87 per ticket. There will be 100 discounted tickets for E7 and below at $40 per ticket until supply runs out. The Army Birthday Ball is a formal event, and the attire for civilians is formal evening wear or black tie.
