National Prescription Drug Take-Back day
The Drug Enforcement Administration’s next National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will be April 28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall’s Post Exchange. This is an opportunity for those who missed previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications. WMZQ to host live radio show
As part of their military appreciation week, 98.7 WMZQ-FM will broadcast their morning radio show live from Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall. Join morning DJ Boxer as he broadcasts from outside the Community Center and Dining Facility May 17 from 5 - 9 a.m. Units from every service are asked to come out and enjoy the show. Iwo Jima 7K
Registration is open for the Iwo Jima 7k Run/5k Walk scheduled for May 16. Register online by May 1 to guarantee a t-shirt. Online registration is open through May 10. Late, on-site registration on the day opens 5:30 – 6:30 a.m. The race begins at 6:35 at Smith Gym and proceeds to the Marine Corps War Memorial, returning to the gym. Learn more than 30 common signs during this introduction to baby sign language. Baby signing promotes social development while enhancing your relationship with your child.
