Blessing of the Fleet and Chili Cook Off
April 21 | 9:30 a.m. | Slip Inn Deck To kick off the 2012 Boating Season, we are having our Annual Blessing of the Fleet and Chili Cook-Off. All slip holders and guests are invited to take part and enjoy the festivities during this annual event. The USCG Auxiliary will be on hand to conduct vessel safety checks, which are mandatory for all boats occupying slips at the Capital Cove Marina.

Boat and Brewfest

Outdoor Recreation is joining River and Trail Outfitters on the Monocacy River your choice of a half day canoe or kayak trip. Enjoy 5.8 miles of easy cruising with a few riffles and ledges to break up the mellow waters. Lush farm fields, wooded bluffs and occasional views of the Catoctin Mountain. Afterward, we are going to the Maryland Brewer’s Springfest! More than 80 beers, great food, live music and shopping. Six four-ounce beer tasting tokens and official Springfest tasting glass are included.
The total price is $115 per person, which includes: canoe or kayak (single or double) rentals, guide, all equipment, transportation and entry into the festival (with tokens and tasting glass). No experience needed.
